Networking = future $

Why should YOU attend adult related events and conventions?  There is ONE simple answer.  Future sales.  

When you attend these events, its easy to focus on the financial output and make decisions on attending rather difficult.  The frame of mind you want to approach your decision with is not the now money, but the overall networking established and how it could potentially lead to future sales.  

Your overall attitude, persona and image you represent while at these shows determines your approach-ability.  If someone feels they can come up to you and talk to you, that conversation could lead to a life long fan who buys your merchandise and goods.  What you put out is generally what you put in.

If you look like you are mad, or would rather be anywhere but at the convention, people are less likely to approach you.  Think about it like if YOU wanted to go up to someone, what attitude will invite you and the things that turn you off.  Presentation is EVERYTHING.  

BUY YOUR PRINT WORK IN ADVANCE.  Banners, 8x10 slicks, business cards, etc should be purchased WELL in advance.  The shipping on these items are expensive and even more so if you wait til the last minute.  This is the best investment of all times.

In conclusion, treat your business like a business and expect business like results.  If you continue treating it like a hobby - expect to get paid like one.  Go to these conventions, network and most of all MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR TIME and MONEY!
